Smoky Grey Copa de Balon Glass
This smoky grey Copa de Balon glass is ideal for fans of the gin and tonic, spritzers and other long cocktail serves.
This bulbous glass dates back to the 1700s. It was invented in the Basque region of Spain where gin-loving Spaniards developed the ‘balloon cup’, citing that its rounded shape and long stem are designed to trap the botanical aromas found in gin.
Its distinctive shape stops carbonated mixers from losing their fizz and delays ice cubes from melting and diluting drinks too quickly. This is why, whilst it's brilliant for long gin-based cocktails, it also works well for any cocktails requiring plenty of ice and garnishes.
Good to know:
- Dishwasher safe
Dimensions:
- Height: 22.5cm
- Diameter: 8.5cm
