Georgi's Liquid Low-Down
"This is a delicious sugar cane juice rum with a fresh grassy aroma, the taste of sweet sugar cane and a touch of citrus which develops into a drier herbal taste. At 40% alcohol, this is lighter than standard rhum agricoles, but still full of flavour. This makes it perfect for Daiquiris, Mojitos or just mixed with lemonade or cranberry juice."

Unlike most rhum agricoles, Clément Blanc Rhum Agricole has a lower ABV of 40% alcohol and yet when you open the bottle, it feels like you are in the middle of a sugarcane field - like the Caribbean winds are bringing you fresh grassy aromas, sweet sugar cane and fruity and dry herbaceous notes. This makes it the perfect choice if you are just starting to explore the world of rhum agricole. |
Whether you’re hosting daytime drinks, evening celebrations, or dancing ’til sunrise - this rhum agricole can help bring a tropical touch to your cocktails. It also works very well with food pairings and will definitely be the star of the show at your summer barbecue. |
Rhum agricole is created using sugar cane juice and is known to feature an explosion of flavours that takes some time to get used to. However, Clément Blanc Rhum Agricole is the perfect rum to start your journey into this category as it maintains a perfect balance between flavours that represent this category of rum, whilst also featuring mellow tasting notes that won’t overwhelm your palate. |
How to Drink
Traditionally in Martinique, people drink rhum agricole in a cocktail called Ti Punch (translation: Small Punch). This is a very simple mix of rhum agricole, lime, and sugar with no ice. You’ll be offered the rum, lime and sugar and it’s down to you to decide how much of each ingredient you want to add to make it perfect for you. Alternatively, Clément Blanc Rhum Agricole brings a unique freshness to classic cocktails like the Daiquiri or the Mojito; or you could enjoy it simply with coconut water and fresh lime or with a mixer of your choice. |
Originally in Martinique, rhum agricole is consumed with lime and sugar without ice. Clément Blanc Rhum Agricole tastes great when it is cold. You can shake it with lime and sugar and strain it without ice like a Daiquiri or muddle lime and sugar and serve it over crushed ice like a Caipirinha. It also tastes good with lime, sugar, and a splash of soda on the rocks like a Rum Rickey. |
A rounded rocks glass is perfect if you want to have it in a traditional Ti Punch without ice or add cubed or crushed ice to it. A Martini or Coupe glass is perfect if you are making Daiquiri with it. |
Clément Blanc Rhum Agricole works especially well when mixed with a splash of soda water and lime and paired with full-flavoured dishes with rich seasoning or fresh seafood. |

About Rhum Clément
Established in 1887, Rhum Clément is regarded as the benchmark for Martinique rhum agricole.
Rhum agricole is distilled from sugarcane juice instead of molasses as is tradition in the French overseas departments and Rhum Clément is one of the most recognised in the emerging category.
In 2019, Drinks International awarded Rhum Clément top 10 trending rums in the world – a major feat for a non-molasses brand rum.
