Pair of 50s Holmegaard Glass Denmark Smoky Shot Glasses
Originally used as Schnapps glasses, this pair of smoky grey shot glasses were designed by renowned Danish glass designer Per Lütken for Holmegaard Glass Denmark in the 1950s as part of their 'Canada' collection
Per Lütken was one of Holmegaard Glass Factory's most infamous glass designer - working there from 1942 until his death in 1998 and creating more than 3,000 designs. Many of his ranges have become classics and are synonymous with the quality that Holmegaard is famous for. He was known for his perfectionism and made great demands on the glass blowers. If they complained that his designs were too difficult to blow in glass, Lütken’s ambitious response was always, “Well, who said things were supposed to be easy?” In Per Lütken’s opinion, glasses should have a certain natural weight, and they should ooze craftsmanship. We couldn't agree more!
These are genuinely vintage pieces, lovingly thrifted by the Drinks Distilled team, which means we only have one pair of these in stock - so once they're gone, they're gone!
